Final Reports

FOR GRANTS RECEIVED IN 2006

The 2006 SPAG Final Activity Reports are due!!! As you are aware, the Final Reports summarize how your grant funds were spent and how your project advanced your Section's government or public relations goals. One form for each funded activity must be completed, submitted electronically faxed, or postmarked by Friday, September 9, 2005 - regardless of whether the project has been completed. Be sure to include any collateral materials (media advisories, news releases, news clips, letters to legislative officials, etc.) that support your program as funded under the SPAG grant. This documentation corroborates the success of your Section's initiative.

Submit reports and documentation to:

ASCE
SPAG Program, Attn: Sharon Baber
1801 Alexander Bell Drive,
Reston, VA 20191.

The reports, if mailed by U.S. Mail, must be postmarked no later than September 9, 2005. If you choose to send reports and documentation electronically, send to sbaber@asce.org. Do not consider your electronic report "received" until you receive confirmation from Sharon. Please remember, if no report is received, the Section will not only forfeit the final payment for the Large grant, but will also be ineligible for 2006 and 2007 SPAG funding. Sections with Small grant activities must still submit a final report or the Section will be ineligible for 2006 and 2007 SPAG funding.

FOR GRANTS RECEIVED IN 2006

All SPAG grant recipients (Small and Large) must complete a final report. The Final Activity Report for 2006 awards is due August 4th, 2006. Failure submit a final report will make the Section ineligible for SPAG funding for two consecutive years; Sections awarded Large Grants will also forfeit the remaining 50 percent of their award. Specific guidelines for SPAG program final reports will be issued after the 2005 grants are awarded. However, sections should be prepared to address the following items in their final reports:
1. A detailed description of SPAG funds allocation with corresponding expense reports and/or invoices.
2. A description of member participation in the program.
3. The public or government relations goal of the program, and an evaluation of the Section's efforts to reach the goal.
4. Target audience of the program and any feedback from audience and participants.
5. Examples of media coverage generated by the program.
