Activity Hours Share the excitement of civil engineering as you lead middle-school children in hands-on activities that give them a chance to think like engineers. Local Wonders Work with youth to research a local civil engineering feat, explore the engineering principles behind it, and investigate its impact on the community. Selected projects will be published on the BUILDING BIG web site. Build-a-thons Work with a local school, after-school program, youth center, or museum to host a one-day Build-a-thon, a fun and informal way to share the excitement of civil engineering with your community. Enable families to explore the challenges of B UILDING BIG structures through hands-on activities and interactive video and Internet stations.
