Organize a Local Contest for Your Community
This year the West Point Bridge Design Contest offers the opportunity to establish scoreboards specifically for students in a specific area. Setting up a local scoreboard is a great way to interest more students in the contest. By taking the contest beyond a single two-person student team remotely competing in a national contest, ASCE members can bring civil engineering alive for students, their families and their entire community. Set up a local contest in 5 simple steps! Let your area schools know about the national WPBDC contest with this sample letter On Your Own? Become a mentor for students in your area A team in my area made the finals! How can I promote this? For more information on how to set up and promote a local contest, or for additional promotional and programming needs, please contact ASCE's Communications Department at wpbdc@usma.edu, or call Beth Margulies, Senior Manager, Communications, at (202) 326-5154. |
