Civil Engineering Certification

Certification is a recognition of attaining advanced knowledge and skills in a specialty area of civil engineering. ASCE created Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. to provide a mechanism for professional post-licensure certification of the various specialties within civil engineering.

American Academy of Water Resources Engineers

AAWRE is the first Academy created within Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. (CEC), with the Diplomate, Water Resources Engineer (D.WRE) certification to adhere to ASCE’s Policy 465- to broaden and deepen the body of knowledge for practicing engineers and to ‘elevate the standards’ in civil engineering.
