Be a Key Contact

ASCE's Key Contact Program is the Society's grassroots advocacy program. Through the Key Contact Program, members can learn about public policy issues important to the civil engineering profession and help advance the priorities of the profession through interaction with elected leaders.

As a Key Contact you will receive:

• This Week in Washington, an e-newsletter delivered to your inbox every Friday with the latest news and developments affecting civil engineering in Washington and the state capitals.
• Key Alerts to let you know when specific grassroots action is needed to support civil engineering issues at the federal or state level.

• Register to Vote State with the basics! Visit Engineering to Vote to get ready for the next election in your state.
• ASCE's Click and Connect with Congress advocacy website (formerly "Six Clicks") Let your elected officials know how you stand on issues affecting your job and profession. Log on to learn about the issues, who represents you in congress and your state legislature, and send them messages on the issues that are important to you.
• Browse previous Key Alerts on state and federal issues affecting civil engineering.
• Take the next step Check out ideas on getting involved in elections, participating in a Back Home Visit, and tips on interacting with elected officials.
