1. What specific Section or Branch activities during the past year served to increase the participation of underrepresented groups in the civil engineering profession or to increase awareness of diversity issues?

1. The nomination form can be downloaded as an Adobe PDF document. Nominations may be made by another Section or Branch, a standing ASCE committee or an individual ASCE member. Documentation of a Section or Branch's diversity efforts and its positive impacts must accompany the nomination form.
   
   
2. Award nominations will be judged on the impact of the activities as described in the nomination. The award may recognize a single event or a series of events. Activities can include outreach to young people, programs to increase awareness of diversity or address multicultural issues in the profession, membership recruitment activities or professional skills development programs.
   
   
3. The selection process will take place prior to the Zone Leadership Conferences. All applications will be judged by the Committee on Diversity and Women in Civil Engineering. Award recipients will receive notification prior to their annual ZLC.
   
   
4. Four copies of the award nomination package including the nomination form and supporting information must be received at ASCE no later than Oct. 1.
