SEI Local News
Representatives from 27 local SEI groups (Chapters, Structural Technical Groups and Graduate Student Chapters) participated in the 2013 SEI Local Leadership Conference (LLC) September 11-12 in Dallas, co-located with the ASCE Texas Centennial Conference. The participants held a lively exchange on local chapter best practices, learned more about SEI/ASCE programs, and enjoyed networking with the Local Activities Executive Committee and members of the SEI Board of Governors. In addition to the general session meeting, the conference included a technical tour of the AT&T Dallas Cowboys Stadium, a joint dinner with the SEI Board of Governors, a technical presentation on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, and leadership training by ASCE’s Jim O’Brien.
“This is one of the best events I have attended. Thank you for offering this opportunity to learn how to establish and run a Chapter, and be inspired by SEI leaders.” ~ 2013 SEI LLC Representative
