Dr. Anil Agrawal is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the City College of the City University of New York. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, in 1998, M.Eng in civil engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1991 and B.Tech in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 1988. He has published more than 50 Journal papers and 100 conference papers. He is the vice-president of executive committee on U.S. Panel of International Association of Structural Control. Dr. Agrawal has been involved in the activities of SEI since 1998 through the organization of sessions during Structures Congress Conferences. He was the control member of the ASCE Committee on Structural Control during Oct. 2000 to Sept. 2008 and chair of the committee during Oct. 2008 to Sept. 2011. He is the chair of the SEI Bridge Inspection, Management, and Rehabilitation Technical Committee. He also has been the member of the ASCE Committee on Monitoring of Structures, Associate Editor of the Journal of Structural Engineering (Jan. 2006 to Oct. 2009) and Associate Editor of the Journal of Bridge Engineering (July 2007 to Sept. 2009). Since October 2009, he has been the Chief Editor of the ASCE Journal of Bridge Engineering.
