Dr. Hamid Adib, P.E., is Senior Vice President with AECOM a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets, including transportation, facilities, environmental, energy, water and government. Dr. Adib is based in New York and manages the firm’s practice in the areas of complex structural analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and threat/vulnerability and risk assessment. Dr. Adib has managed protective design upgrades to structures of major significance such as the George Washington Bridge, Grand Central Terminal, and terminals at John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark Airports, as well as structural design of the new $3 billion PATH transit hub at the World Trade Center site. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and licensed professional engineer in many states, and has been involved in SEI since its inception, serving in various capacities including past member of the Board of Governors. He is also a member of a number of other professional organizations including ACI, AISC and the NY Academy of Sciences.
