Thomas L. Jackson, a consulting transportation engineer and senior vice president of DMJM HARRIS, has over 40 years of experience in master planning, design and construction management. Jackson's previous projects involve water resources, forensic engineering in water resources, paving, drainage, sewerage, water, land reclamation, highway and bridge design, airport improvements, port facilities and large pumping stations. He is responsible for the design and construction of numerous pumping stations in the Southeast Louisiana regions.

Prior to joining DMJM HARRIS, Jackson spent part of his career as the executive vice president for Burk & Associates, Inc., followed by two years as vice president of N-Y Associates, Inc. He has served as the American Society of Civil Engineer's (ASCE) national president, the United Engineering Foundation's president and as a charter member of the Louisiana Engineering Advancement Program for Minorities Board.

Jackson has been honored with numerous awards, including the ASCE New Orleans Branch's Lifetime Achievement Award, Public Works Magazine Trendsetters of the Year's Most Influential People Award and ASCE's William H. Wisely Award. He received both a bachelor's and master's degree in civil engineering from Tulane University.
