COPRI Task Committee On Engineer-Diver Qualifications and Standard

Our purpose is to provide advocacy, support, and leadership to professional engineer-divers within the commercial diving industry. We will accomplish this by: 1. Educating clients and industry stakeholders on the important roles and responsibilities professional engineer-divers have in performing underwater investigations thru primers and guidelines in accordance with ASCE committee procedures. 2. Providing leadership both to the ASCE and elsewhere within the industry as a technical resource for best practices in performing underwater investigations. 3. Advocating for the professional engineer-diver community with respect to regulatory changes in diver training, diving operations, and work safety. 4. As a Task Committee of the Ports & Harbors Committee, advocate for the professional engineer-diver in technical matters related to underwater engineering.
