ERIN K. MCCORMICK, EIT, A.M.ASCE

REGION 1 GOVERNOR OFFICIAL NOMINEE

Vision Statement

ASCE's 2025 vision is to be "entrusted by society to create a sustainable world and enhance the quality of life, civil engineers serve competently, collaboratively and ethically…" My vision is that ASCE is the leading professional civil engineering society. I envision my role as Region 1 Governor to include working with Sections/Branches within Region 1 to create enthusiasm for the Society and to promote the programs and products that ASCE has to offer. I have always enjoyed interacting with individuals from across ASCE at various conferences/meetings, and have especially enjoyed learning what works and what does not work in various Sections/Branches. These lessons learned have been invaluable and I hope to be able to not only share what I've learned, but to continue to learn from others. As laid out in ASCE's 2025 Vision, "Rallying the forces and the energy to take on this wide array of initiatives is not for the faint of heart; the key is to do your part and to marshal others, be they organizations or individuals, so that the sum of all your energy, over time, will add up to a new future." I look forward to this new challenge as Region 1 Governor.
