DAVID F. J. CALABUIG, SR.

REGION 6 GOVERNOR OFFICIAL NOMINEE

Vision Statement

I believe in giving back to our community and profession and I have been actively involved in volunteering my time for over 25 years.

The average ASCE member doesn't really know the role of the Regions within ASCE. It was not until 3 years ago, when I was nominated to be the Region 6 representative to the ASCE National State Government Relation Committee that I started to learn the role Regions play within our international organization.

As a Region 6 Governor, I will work on educating branches and sections on what Regions do and help motivate members to be more involved at all levels of the organization. Too often, we have unfilled positions and only a handful of persons carrying the load of this wonderful organization.

I will also work on helping members to efficiently use the ASCE Infrastructure Report Card as a tool to meet with their local elected officials to educate them on the importance of investing in solving our failing infrastructure systems and to keep us as a competitive nation since infrastructure investment creates jobs, increases GDP, and provides the foundation for businesses to thrive.

Please vote for me as a Region 6 Governor!
