Jeffrey A. Young, P.E., M.ASCE

2019 Region 7 Governor

Vision Statement

I am currently the Wyoming/Nebraska Governor for Region 7 and have been involved with the Region Board since 2009 when I started as a delegate.  Through my involvement with ASCE, I have predominantly focused on support and involvement with student engineers, something that I will continue to do for both states.  I have spent time with students in their respective schools, during regional and national competitions, at leadership, at society conventions and am the stand-in speaker for student chapter meetings at the University of Wyoming.   My vision for my second term will include continuing my support of student chapters, younger member groups and young people interested in engineering.  It will also include a continued effort in support of ASCE's Strategic Initiatives and educating elected officials, local, state and federal, on the need for improved infrastructure and the need for funding.  I look forward to serving as the board treasurer and the possibility of serving on a committee at the society level and the personal and professional benefit through involvement and support through more informed sections and branches.
