JEFFREY A. YOUNG, P.E., M.ASCE

REGION 7 GOVERNOR OFFICIAL NOMINEE

Vision Statement

I am currently the Wyoming Delegate for Region 7 and have been involved with the State Section since 2005. Our section predominantly provides continuing education courses to engineers in the state and the money we raise supports the students at the University of Wyoming. I have spent time with students during regional and national competitions, at leadership, at the society convention and am the stand-in speaker for student chapter meetings throughout the year. My vision for my term will include increasing my support of student chapters, younger member groups and young people interested in engineering.

Involvement with my State Section has brought on a personal goal to take the next step in ASCE. I have learned more about ASCE and Region 7 as a delegate and now want to explore more of the opportunities at the Region and possibly the Society level. I am excited about the board level commitment for the Region, but also want to explore committees and other forms of involvement that I would personally benefit from and could share with other chapters and branches. My vision for my term will also include the next level of commitment in ASCE, personal benefit through involvement and support through more informed sections and branches.
