ROBERT L. LAMOREAUX, P.E., M.ASCE

REGION 8 GOVERNOR OFFICIAL NOMINEE

Vision Statement

Frequently critical conversations taking place in our nation, communities, and throughout the world are influenced or directed by individuals unfamiliar or uneducated about the subject being discussed. Given the current needs of our nation's infrastructure, I believe that Civil Engineers are in great demand to solve the problems of the day. I also believe that we have a responsibility to play a more integral role in making change happen and shaping the policies that guide our communities.

I believe that involvement with ASCE is important for individual engineers because it's the best forum to build professional relationships, have meaningful discussions about the challenges we face, and celebrate our successes and opportunities to do more and better.

I plan to use experiences I've had working in an active branch and a well-organized section to help other branches and sections grow and improve. I embrace the strategic initiatives of ASCE and I believe in the importance of promoting the role of the Civil Engineer in society. I have seen the benefit of active membership in ASCE in my own career, and I want to share those benefits with others.
