Every spring, ASCE Student Members from around the country
(and the world!) meet at 18 Student Conferences. The host schools for these Student
Conferences generally need help with judging (the concrete canoe and steel
bridge competitions) and logistics (helping attendees find their way around
campus). If you’d like to help out,
contact the host school for a Student
Conference near you.
Make a difference!
Offer your ongoing support and guidance to an ASCE Student Chapter at a University near you. Contact your ASCE Section or Branch
and ask to volunteer to get involved with a Student Chapter.
CSM oversees the ASCE Student Chapter Program, and - among
other things - committee members are responsible for reading annual reports
submitted by the Student Chapters, and attending the Student Conferences in the spring. Terms are for four years. Applications
for Committee assignments are accepted each year until March 15.
Student Steel Bridge Competition takes place over Memorial Day weekend each
year. If you’d like to help with
logistics (helping attendees find their way around campus), contact ASCE’s Student and Younger Member Programs and
we’ll put you in touch with the host school.
The National Concrete Canoe
Competition takes place every year in mid-June. Judges for the national competition are
selected in the late fall. If you’d like
to be considered – or if you just would like to help out at the competition
with logistics - contact ASCE’s Student and
Younger Member Programs for more information.
