Renovation of Steel-Framed Buildings
More and more existing steel-framed buildings are being renovated rather than demolished. Lack of knowledge about practical renovation methods can lead to two extreme outcomes: The designs that are too optimistic, bordering on being unsafe (which spells trouble for everyone involved) and those that are overly conservative (and thus simply uneconomical). This seminar presents effective yet economical renovation methods. You will learn how to renovate these structures in a safe, reliable, and economical. The seminar is co-sponsored by ASCE's Structural Engineering Institute and ASCE Continuing Education.
