Design of Wood-Framed Sloped Roofs
This seminar provides an overview of various framing design methods for sloped roofs. It then proceeds to examine some salient issues involved in roof design for gravity loads. Along the way, you will study some common systems including roof rafters and ridge beams, rafters and collar ties, and rafters and ceiling ties, with accompanying step-by-step calculations. Other framing systems, such as using roof trusses and engineered lumber products, are also discussed. The seminar also covers topic of designing wood roofs for lateral loads. The issues of incorporating roof diaphragms in wood roofs, particularly roofs with complex configurations, are discussed. A topic of resisting wind uplift follows. The seminar is co-sponsored by ASCE's Structural Engineering Institute and ASCE Continuing Education.
This seminar will take place at 12 Noon to 1:30 PM Eastern Time, per the date(s) listed. $299M/$349NM Per Seminar Site. Earn 1.5 Professional Development Hours (1.5 PDHs) |
