Traffic Calming: Best Practices and Lessons Learned, Complete Series
Although many agencies have been using traffic calming strategies for many years, the results have been mixed. Most agencies failed to put into place a comprehensive set of procedures for process requests from the public to address neighborhood traffic management issues.
The first session of this two-part series will cover information about the best practices for establishing a neighborhood traffic management process including the development of a manual, how this process should be administered, the issues involving the primary stakeholders, and where the pitfalls lie. The seminar is co-sponsored by ASCE's Transportation & Development Institute and ASCE Continuing Education. Part I of this seminar will take place on Thursday at 12 Noon - 1pm Eastern Time per the date(s) listed. Part II of the series will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 12 Noon - 1pm Eastern Time. $249M/$299NM Per Seminar Site. $498M/$598NM for the series per seminar site.
