In response to the global outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), ASCE is committed to holding an event where everyone feels safe, so we have developed an attendee policy concerning COVID-19. Please visit the Health & Safety page on the conference site for details.
The following information will be updated as events warrant—always with the health and safety of our event attendees, exhibitors and staff as our top priority.
Stay informed and be prepared
It is our goal to provide a healthy and safe environment for our members, guests, exhibitors, vendors, and staff. The CDC recommends adopting everyday habits that can help prevent the spread of several viruses, including flu and coronavirus:
- Prevention and Treatment – U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The following resources may be useful to help you remain informed:

On-site precautions
We are in communication with our event partners, including the hotels, associated venues, and vendors, to ensure that the health and safety of all attendees is the highest priority at our events.
Our event hotels and other venues, including the ASCE offices in Reston and Washington, D.C., are implementing recommended protocols from health officials to ensure the health and safety of our exhibitors and attendees. These protocols include enhanced cleaning and disinfecting practices, operating with a heightened sense of awareness and taking relevant health and safety measures.
We encourage you to check the website of the venue for specific information related to a hotel or meeting site.
Questions about coronavirus-related concerns
We recognize that this is a serious and evolving situation, and we will review and update our policy and procedures on an ongoing basis. Those with additional inquiries and concerns related to the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) upon our events may email ASCE customer service at [email protected].
