Region 9 Governor Official Nominee

Vision statement
As Governor, I will serve members and advance our profession by supporting the Region’s strong legislative advocacy efforts including legislative visits, advocacy letters and promotion of the Key Contacts program. I will also support the Region’s infrastructure policy initiatives, including the California Infrastructure Symposium and the activities of the Region’s committees. ASCE provides members with valuable professional resources, networking opportunities as well as the ability to shape infrastructure policy and the direction of the profession, which I will continue to uphold.
I will also promote activities that provide member value and foster engagement. ASCE must maintain a strong membership base to remain vibrant. Member engagement is the key to retain members and it provides value to each of us individually. I will proactively engage new graduates to encourage membership retention. I also plan to bring ASCE leadership and mentoring resources, such as the Professional Skills Series, to the Region and its Branches.
With over 30 years of experience, including service to ASCE at all levels, I have a record of collaborative involvement in the development of events, programs and policies and I look forward to continuing to serve and advance Region 9’s initiatives.
