Vision statement

Society is at a critical juncture with an aging and deteriorating infrastructure system. Our engineering industry faces challenges with the declining number of professional practitioners and rising college tuition costs. However, we see on a daily basis the significant contributions civil engineers make to the safety, health, and welfare of the public. Infrastructure funding needs have been recognized and now it’s up to our ASCE members to lead the way to developing the future. My Vision is for all ASCE members to become connected and aware of the mutual resources we share to help us in our chosen professional careers.

I have been fortunate to serve one term as a Region 3 Governor and I am committed to promoting ASCE’s membership benefits and supporting the activities of the Sections and Branches in a second term as a Region 3 Governor. I have enjoyed building lasting relationships through ASCE committee events and I look forward to mentoring other future leaders of the Society and the civil engineering profession. Sharing best practices and spreading our knowledge builds an enormous advantage to ensuring our collective success in enhancing everyone’s overall quality of life.
