Purpose:
The purpose of the Submarine Cables Subcommittee of COPRI’s Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) Committee is to research, study and disseminate (civil engineering) information related to submarine cables for marine renewable energy structures/facilities, including: 1. Planning and Design; 2. Installation and Protection; 3. Inspection, Maintenance and Serviceability; 4. Environmental Aspects; 5. Legal, Regulatory and Political Aspects (in cooperation with the Government/NGO Issues Subcommittee).The subcommittee coordinates its activities with the MRE Committee and cooperates fully with other ASCE and COPRI committees, as appropriate.
