Civil Engineering Perspectives On F-E-W Nexus
Purpose:
The goal of this task committee is to advance the science, the practice,and the education of civil engineering solutions and technologiesthat aim to address societal challenges and problems at the nexusof food, energy, and water (FEW) sectors. The specific objectivesproposed for this task committee will advance interdisciplinaryefforts on FEW nexus issues in the ASCE community viadevelopment of novel systems analysis methods, datasets, decisionsupport systems, cyberinfrastructure, pedagogical materials, andpolicy recommendations. Our team of members include a range ofcolleagues from academia and industry, including colleagues fromother relevant disciplines (e.g., Agriculture Engineering, ComputerScience, Economics, and Public Policy).
