Planning & Development Council
Purpose:
T&DI's Planning and Development (P&D) Council is charged with gathering, reviewing, developing, evaluating, and disseminating new criteria, research, and technologies in the areas of multimodal transportation planning, land use, and development. The multidisciplinary P&D Council liaises with a diverse set of transportation stakeholders from public and private sector practitioners and academia to identify a comprehensive set of emerging transportation advancements and needs for research and standards development.

Diniece Mendes, EIT, A.M.ASCE
Diniece is a Civil Engineering professional with a specialty in Transportation Engineering; over 7 years of progressive experiences leading, streamlining, assessing, and implementing large-scale transportation planning and performance systems across the Greater New York City area; skilled at driving and producing results within the multi-layered and complex transportation sector, and at spearheading its development initiatives.
Diniece is currently the Director, of Freight Mobility at the New York City Department of Transportation, managing a multi-million dollar freight program that seeks to advance policies and programs which provide safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of goods.
