Purpose:

The Transportation and Development (T&DI) Institute's Younger Member Committee (YMC) focuses on matters of the professional development of transportation-focused civil engineers 35 years of age or younger and facilitates their engagement with, and participation in, the Society and T&DI. YMC supports all ASCE T&DI younger members, whether academic or industry-focused. The committee plans and organizes younger member activities for the International Conference on Transportation and Development (ICTD), facilitates an annual student competition to foster student engagement in T&DI, advocates for more younger member resources, and works to advertise existing resources (e.g., publications, conferences, workshops, technical councils, etc.) to the younger member community.
