EWRI Members Elect Their Next Vice President
EWRI is pleased to announce the election of Cristiane Q. Surbeck, P.E., Ph.D., ENV SP, M.ASCE, as Vice President-Elect on the Institute's Governing Board. Having been voted to the position by her peers in EWRI, Cristiane will participate in a leadership role for the next four years, rotating through the positions of Vice President, President-Elect, President, and Past-President. During her tenure on the Governing Board, Cristiane will maintain a variety of roles and responsibilities that vary with each title she assumes.
Cristiane Surbeck is a Professional Civil Engineer and Associate Professor. In her career, she has spent equal number of years working in academia and consulting, with projects throughout the U.S. and abroad. Her commitment to EWRI for the past 15 years has included chairing the Sustainability Committee and the International Council; co-chairing the Visiting International Fellowship Committee; contributing to the 2014 report Pathogens in Urban Stormwater Systems; moderating, planning, and presenting at sessions at the annual Congresses; participating in eight leadership Council Weekends; co-teaching a short course, and serving as associate editor of the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management.
