International Levee Handbook Webinar Series

Friday, April 10, 2015

The International Levee Handbook (ILH) is a compendium of good practice, offering comprehensive guidance on the design, construction, maintenance and improvement of levees and describing the international state of the art on these matters. Also, it offers a decision support framework for competent engineers, rather than a prescriptive decision making code of practice, looking at specific challenges during the life cycle of levees.

Members of the Levee Safety Coalition  - The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the U.S. Society on Dams (USSD), the National Association of Flood and Stormwater Management Agencies (NAFSMA), and Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) - fully support and endorse the ILH.

Upcoming ILH Webinars:

Each webinar will cover a specific topic presented by lead authors of the ILH. The webinars are complimentary and open to the general public. Previous webinars will be available online.

About the Webinar Series

Members of the Levee Safety Coalition are sponsoring a series of webinars on the ILH which started in January 2015. The intent is to offer two webinars each month working through all ten chapters; there will be duplicate webinars for each of the ILH chapters and all of the webinars will be recorded and archived for future reference.
