  • ASCE's New Zealand International Group was organized in 2013 and is made up of over 100 members. The group meets about 2 times a year.

  • Joint Symposium Announced

    The Japan Society of Civil Engineers and the Organising Committee are holding the 1st NZ-Japan Joint Symposium on Structural and Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering on November 27, 2018 at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.

    This inaugural symposium aims to bring together leading academics, researchers and practitioner engineers from across New Zealand and Japan to share their experiences and research results on key aspects of Structural and Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering resulting from lessons learned from recent major earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan. 

    Registration is free and open to all who are interested in structural and geotechnical earthquake engineering.  There is a limit of 120 participants. Please email your RSVP to Gabriele Chiaro by November 9, 2018.
