Regions 8 & 9 Workshop for Section and Branch Leaders

Participation in the Workshop for Section and Branch Leaders strengthens and expands the programs and activities of Sections and Branches through the interchange of ideas, information and experiences, while it exposes incoming officers to the tools needed to be effective leaders. Concurrently, there will be a Workshop for Student Chapter Leaders and a Younger Member Council annual meeting.  We have worked diligently to ensure the success of the program and look forward to your Section and/or Branch delegate’s participation.  

The Leader Training Committee is pleased to authorize you to nominate one delegate to participate in the 2019 ASCE Regions 8 and 9 Workshop for Section and Branch Leaders (WSBL) to be held Friday and Saturday, March 8-9 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.  Sections without Branches may nominate two delegates.

In order to ensure that your Section and/or Branch receives the maximum possible benefit, you are encouraged to designate the President‑elect, Vice President or Secretary‑Treasurer as the delegate. If this is not possible, consider a Younger Member growing into a responsible position within the Section or Branch.  (Please note that no person may repeat as an official WSBL delegate within a four-year period.)

Registration

The registration cost, per attendee, is $245.00. This fee will help to subsidize general expenses for meals and refreshment breaks scheduled during the Workshop and is not reimbursable.

Make sure your ASCE membership is current! – You will not be able to complete your conference registration unless your membership is current.  

To check your ASCE Membership Status:

1. Go to www.asce.org/myprofile and log on to your ASCE Account.
2. In the My Profile window, click the Memberships tab below the Personal Information area.
   
3. Verify that your Membership Status is Active in the ASCE Membership Details area.

Within the next few weeks, attendees will receive confirmation letters containing additional information about the conference, including travel logistics.
