Connections at Structures Congress
As a young engineer, the Structures Congress has been the best stage to learn, connect, and develop my technical knowledge. This year at Ft. Worth, I had the privilege to not only attend my second Structures Congress but also present part of my Masters research. I am glad I found SEI early in my career as I have been able to join committees, attend conferences, and, most importantly, connect with many structural engineers who work to show the world how great structural engineers are every day. This year, I was able to connect with some incredible people from all over the country. I was grateful for the wonderful engineers we have at SEI who went out of their way to help me connect with the right people in the Denver area as I was looking ahead of my transition to Colorado. I believe that is what SEI and the Structures Congress are for - to connect engineers from different specialties so they can share knowledge and ideas in order to provide better solutions for their communities. The beauty of the Structures Congress lies in the community built around it, where academia, practicing engineers, manufacturers, organizations, and others come together to build a better future for structural engineering. Attending conferences like the Structures Congress inspires me to continue my career as a structural engineer and reassures me that I have chosen the best career in the world. I hope to continue to attend the Structures Congress every year, and I hope to meet many more great engineers at the
