The SEI President's Award recognizes an SEI member who has made exemplary contributions to the success of the Institute. 

The winner of the 2019 SEI President's Award is David J. Odeh, P.E., S.E., SECB, F.SEI, F.ASCE. David is commended for his significant efforts for the success of SEI and the structural engineering profession. From his early involvement on the Joint SEI-CASE Committee on BIM, to service and leadership on the SEI Board of Governors and as a founding Director of the SEI Futures Fund Board, to his current position as an ASCE Technical Region Director, his forward thinking has been instrumental in advancing many initiatives, including the GI-SEI joint conference and the Oakbrook Accords, and promoting more collaboration between SEI, CASE, and NCSEA - all consistent with the SEI Vision of the Future. His work and leadership are truly inspiring.

David was recognized at the Structures Congress 2019 Closing luncheon during the Award video presentation.
