Therese R. Kline, P.E., F.ASCE

2020-2023 Region 3 Governor

Vision Statement

As the face and the voice of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure it is my duty to educate non-engineers and engineers alike, in a manner that they can understand, the importance of safe, functional and innovative infrastructure with attention paid compassionately and complete understanding of the environmental fragility of the world. I am not local, I am global; and my vision must encompass more than my city, my state or my country.

I've been an ASCE member since college days and have been a promoter and attendee of all we do: Steel Bridge in the day, Concrete Canoe, Branch, Section and Region events and education, philanthropy, and fun. I'm a member of three ASCE Institutes: UESI, SEI and Geo. I was a board member for our 2017 Michigan Report Card.

Recruiting for ASCE occurs every day at work, volunteering with Scouts and college student events, and at the TRAC program. I give back because of the positive impact ASCE has had on my career.
