Brian Reynolds, P.E., M.ASCE

2020–2023 Region 4 Governor

Vision Statement

My vision as an ASCE Region 4 Governor aligns closely with ASCE's Vision for Civil Engineering in 2025. I believe that ASCE must continue to advance the profession of Civil Engineering as trusted planners, designers, constructors and problem solvers to create a sustainable world and enhance our global quality of life. I see many opportunities for ASCE to fill a more substantial leadership role in guiding civil engineers as stewards of the natural environment and its resources. As civil engineers, we must be more involved in shaping public environmental and infrastructure policy.

While ASCE has developed potential actions and a roadmap of tactics to support this vision, more work and outreach must be done to implement these actions at the Section and Branch levels. All too often, decisions and actions are not aligned with our vision and policy statements. As a Region 4 Governor, I will work to advance the Civil Engineering profession by promoting ASCE's vision and helping to implement actions at the local level. By empowering civil engineers as leaders with the tools and guidance to solve global problems, we elevate our profession and improve the quality of life for everyone.
