Panagiotis Andreas Chatzipanos, Ph.D., P.E., D.WRE, M.ASCE

2020–2023 Region 10 Governor

Vision Statement

It would be an honour to serve ASCE as Region 10 Governor, advocate the civil engineering profession, including its leadership role, and help continue the growth of our Society by embracing civil engineers around the globe. I share the ASCE vision of civil engineers as global leaders building a better quality of life and believe we can enhance our work within Region 10 by following ASCE's major goals. Most countries are spending billions of dollars for their infrastructure development. ASCE globally has the most recognized brand name compared to any other civil engineering organization. ASCE also maintains the capability to provide guidance to civil engineering communities in many countries around the world towards responsible, sustainable growth. Awareness and capacity building towards reaching these values needs to be promoted.

I would like to personally contribute within Region 10 on achieving ASCE's Vision for Civil Engineering, on creating awareness on national infrastructure needs, on following ASCE's Sustainability Roadmap, and on working toward the professional development of our members. I look forward to the opportunity to further support our membership and our profession by enhancing our members' active participation at all levels locally and regionally and by advocating the leadership role of the civil engineer.
