Mark Woodson Joins UESI Board of Governors
We are happy to welcome Mark Woodson, P.E., L.S., D.WRE, ENV SP, Pres.16.ASCE, to the Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute Board of Governors. Mark's term begins immediately and will run until September 30, 2019.
Mark is the President and owner of Woodson Engineering and Surveying in Flagstaff, Arizona which he founded over 20 years ago. His firm specializes in helping communities across the southwest achieve success. Mark's primary focus is consulting in City Engineering and Public Works management. Prior to starting Woodson Engineering, Mark was the Flagstaff City Engineer. While at the City, Mark was part of the leadership that put in place the standards to become the Country's first Dark Sky City. Mark served as the ASCE President in 2016, is on the Board of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, and recently served on the Flagstaff City Council.
Mark has held numerous other leadership positions in ASCE, serving as the Society's Treasurer, a District and Region Director, Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, and served as President of ASCE's Arizona Section. He has been honored by his colleagues for his dedicated service with the Arizona Civil Engineer Distinguished Service Award in 1994 and John C. Park Outstanding Engineering Award in 2002.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and an MBA from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Mark is a licensed Civil Engineer and Surveyor in California and Arizona.
