Find the answers to your questions

  • Participants of ASCE Continuing Education, including instructors, are expected to conduct themselves in alignment with the ASCE Code of Conduct, ASCE Policy Statement 417 and the ASCE Code of Ethics. Any questions or concerns on this can be directed to: 800-548-2723 and/or by emailing the continuing education department at: [email protected].

    • ASCE privacy policy
    • Learning management system (LMS) privacy policy
  • 1 CEU = 10 PDHs [Example: 0.1 CEU = 1 PDH]

1.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) equals 10 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) of instruction.

A CEU certificate is available to each person successfully completing a course and a permanent record remains on file with ASCE.

To receive your certificate of completion, you will need to complete a short on-line post-test and receive a passing score of 70% or higher. You will have three attempts to pass the post-test.

Per NCEES guidelines, no more than .8 CEUs (8 PDHs) should be claimed within a 24-hour period. In addition, since continuing education requirements for PE licenses vary by jurisdiction, we strongly recommend that individuals regularly check their respective registration board(s) for their specific continuing education requirements to ensure that ASCE CEU/PDH certificates will be accepted for license renewal.

PE civil exam prep courses do not provide CEUs or PDHs. A certificate of completion can be obtained at the end of the course by completing the online evaluation form.

  • Individual registration

One registration provides you with individual entry to your training selection. For online training, it provides you with one computer/phone login at a single site.

    Retake

Retakes are a thing of the past! With NCEES' new CBT exam format, ASCE is excited to provide you with 180 days of access to review course materials! This covers two testing windows.

    Duration of access

    • For on-demand exam prep courses, access will end in 180 days from the date of purchase.

PE civil exam prep courses are designed to help you pass, so schedule your exam while you have access to the materials.

    NDAA Section 889 acknowledgement

ASCE affirms that it does not use any equipment, system, or service that is precluded by Section 889(a)(1)(B) of National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019, Prohibition on Contracting with Entities Using Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment.

If the Federal Agency's Office of Procurement requires a Vendor Certification to be completed and returned in order to move forward with a contract award and/or payment, please contact [email protected].

Recordings of live PE civil exam prep sessions are available in myLearning within 1-2 business days.

    In-person courses

Late or on-site registration for in-person courses

  • Licensing and accreditation

ASCE has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). In addition, ASCE follows NCEES guidelines on continuing professional competency. Since continuing education requirements for P.E. license renewal vary from state to state, we strongly recommend that individuals regularly check the state registration board(s) for their specific continuing education requirements that affect P.E. licensure and the ability to renew licensure.
