Ian is a Senior Principal at Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA) who has led the design of mid- and high-rise buildings around the world. His design experience includes projects in high seismic zones, such as Performance-Based Seismic Design (PBSD) developments in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Ian has developed PBSD standards for the American Concrete Institute, Building Seismic Safety Council, Council on Vertical Urbanism (formerly CTBUH), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
