ASCE has honored Shengzhe Wang, S.M.ASCE; Maria Moreyra Garlock, Ph.D., P.E., F.SEI, M.ASCE; and Branko Glisic, Ph.D., A.M.ASCE, with the 2021 Moisseiff Award for their paper “Hydrostatic Response of Deployable Hyperbolic-Paraboloid Umbrellas as Coastal Armor,” published in the June 2020 issue of the Journal of Structural Engineering.
The Moisseiff Award recognizes a published paper on the broad field of structural design, including applied mechanics, as well as the theoretical analysis or construction improvement of engineering structures, such as bridges and frames, of any structural material.
