Naccarato

Anthony F. Naccarato, P.E., S.E., F.ASCE, president of O'Donnell & Naccarato, one of the MidAtlantic region's oldest and largest structural engineering firms, has been named a fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.

Naccarato is proud of his work for many reasons. First and foremost, he is honored to have grown the legacy that his father, Peter Naccarato, and his business partner, the late Bill O'Donnell, began in 1980, which is being an engineering firm that focuses on being efficient, effective, and true team players on every project they are fortunate to be a part of. Then there are the client relationships sustained over a 40-year history, testifying to a well-earned reputation in the industry.

One of his greatest achievements has been expanding O'Donnell & Naccarato to new markets. Under his leadership, the company has nearly doubled its footprint, from two offices to four, and gone from 50 employees to 80. It has been shown that the firm is not just a small family company, but one that can compete with larger ones across the country and have the resources and bandwidth to withstand more difficult projects.

One unique thing about O'Donnell & Naccarato is that it is an ESOP. Using this employee stock ownership model, company stock value has grown over 40 percent during Naccarato’s time as president, and he is happy to be able to offer staff the opportunity to not only grow with the company but also benefit from its overall well-doing. This is a workplace in which staff are a huge priority; they are great people who happen to be great engineers. This welcoming work environment and a family-like culture have led to much success.

Making the company a positive place to work is a remarkable achievement for Naccarato. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his top priority was to keep all staff on board, and this he achieved. He can now look back and say that they all came out on top of one of the most detrimental economic situations one may ever face as a business leader.

Naccarato is grateful for the opportunities to foster relationships, contribute to business development, and help his team to grow. Of course, he has also gotten the opportunity to work on and design numerous impressive buildings along the way.
