Ademola A. Adedapo Sr., P.E., F.ASCE, a seasoned and chartered civil engineer, businessman, and investor, has been named a fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.
Adedapo works as an individual consultant / project manager / senior project engineer on a World Bank–AfDB–China-Exim Bank project titled Federal Roads Development Project (FRDP), managing large projects for the unit, among which are the Dualization of Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi Road 221 km Section 3 (Akwanga-Lafia-Benue State Boarder -76Km) EPC contract, under the China-Exim Bank Loan, Mokwa-Bida Road Rehabilitation/Reconstruction.
Before joining the Unit in 2009, he started his engineering practice as a trainee engineer ITB, a construction company in Abuja, where he supervised the takeoff of the Senate Chamber of the National Assembly Complex Abuja.
He joined the Federal Ministry of Works in 1999 and worked alongside other colleagues as a contract administrator and project engineer on many projects, including the Dualization of Abuja_keffi Road, Dualization of Ibadan-Ilorin Road, Section III, in Ogun state. Between 2006 and 2009, he was appointed special assistant, technical (SA Tech) to federal highways directors, serving under two of them. Adedapo’s 23-plus years of experience in highway project management have seen him deliver many large projects successfully. His technical experience spans highway engineering design inclusive of hydraulic structures, projects conception, consultants sourcing and management, project resource allocation, project cost control, time management, road access management systems, institution strengthening, and capacity building, among other skills.
Adedapo is the CEO of Limitless Engineering Consultants Ltd, Heriprom Engineering Limited, and Overflowing Blessings Nigeria Limited. These Companies have delivered several projects for the government, private companies, individual clients, the World Bank, and other donor agencies.
He holds a master’s degree in project management from the George Washington University, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Ilorin. Prior to his BSc program, he successfully completed a National Diploma Program in Building and Quantity Surveying from Kwara State Polytechnics Ilorin, where he won the Best Departmental Student Award. He also completed an intensive program in Oracle 9i from NIIT, Abuja.
Adedapo is a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Institution of Highways Engineers, a member of the International Academy for Management, and a registered engineer with the Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also chairman of the Board of Trustees of Aenon Foundations, a nongovernmental organization he established to identify and support young talent as a way of giving back to the society.
