ASCE voters have elected Rossana D'Antonio, P.E., G.E., ENV SP, F.ASCE, as the Society’s next president-elect.
D’Antonio serves as the executive director of NV5, a global consulting firm. Before that, she worked 33 years for Los Angeles County Public Works in a variety of roles, including as deputy director of municipal services and emergency management from 2016 to 2023.
She served on the ASCE Board of Direction as an at-large director, 2022-25, and has been active in many other Society activities, from advocacy to sustainability over the years. She has also been a longtime leader in Region 9, California, and her hometown of Los Angeles.
“I want to serve as ASCE president-elect … because this profession has shaped my life in ways that go far beyond projects or job titles,” D’Antonio said. “My career has been shaped by service, resilience, and a belief that leadership must be both technically sound and profoundly human.”
ASCE will induct D’Antonio as 2027 president-elect at the annual business meeting this October in Reston, Virginia, setting the stage for her to assume the role of Society president in 2028.
Elsewhere on the election ballot, voters tabbed four new members of the ASCE Board of Direction: Danielle H. Spicer, P.E., LEED AP, ENV SP, M.ASCE, as the new Region 1 director; Anthony L. Palmer, P.E., M. ASCE, as the new Region 5 director; Jeffrey M. Cooper, P.E., M.ASCE, as the new Region 9 director; and Shirley E. Clark, Ph.D., P.E., BC.WRE, F.EWRI, F.ASCE, as a new Technical Region director.
