Region 4 Governor Official Nominee

Vision statement

I intend to focus my efforts on ensuring that the Virginia Section optimizes its regional resources including budget support, fundraising, internal communication, and outreach, as well as supporting regional initiatives.

I am also very supportive of JEDI, scholarships, student symposia, student chapter opportunities, and K-12 outreach.

Budget support and fundraising: My goal will be to ensure that the Virginia Section, Branches, student chapters, and committees have the requisite amount of funding to complete their priorities. I also support the Virginia Section’s fundraising efforts and plan to assess whether these processes could and should be implemented at the regional level. I also plan to request greater funding from the Society for the Virginia Section and Region IV.

Membership: I am an avid supporter of maintaining the most professional, effective website possible to ensure that our membership is aware of the work at the Branch, Section, and regional levels. We need to applaud our volunteers and make sure that others are aware of these successes.

Students: I can’t overstress the importance of these events for our student members but also the opportunity these events are for our full members and external partners.
