Complete your 2026 Recertification Today
Starting in October, all CEC Board Certified Engineers will be asked to recertify to continue showcasing their expertise and commitment to excellence in civil engineering through their credential. Look for emails from [email protected] with personalized instructions to complete your 2026 recertification! Remember, your 2026 Recertification is due by December 31. All Board-certified engineers must recertify annually by paying the designated fee, maintaining a valid professional engineering license, attesting to adherence to the ASCE Code of Ethics, and completing the necessary continuing professional development hours (PDHs). CEC Update
CEC keeps Board-Certified Engineers informed with timely updates 2–3 times per year. You can explore exciting highlights and progress across CEC and its certification programs in the latest update.
The CEC August update highlights include: ASCE marketing efforts on certification, the new BC.PLW certification program, CEC 2025 ceremonies and events, eligibility and application improvements, certification expansion updates, recertifications and new application numbers, CESB reaccreditations, digital badging, CEC resources, and how to stay connected and promote CEC certifications!
CEC and USACE Global Partnership
CEC and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) have signed a global agreement covering all CEC board certifications. This partnership focuses on technical excellence and collaboration in education, policy, and workforce development, aiming to certify 5,000 new engineers over the next 20 years to meet critical infrastructure needs.
USACE will also cover certification fees for its engineers, highlighting the importance of board certification. The organizations will explore further collaboration on new products, services, and educational opportunities.
“USACE is proud to formalize this partnership with CEC,” said Pete G. Perez, P.E., SES, USACE Chief of Engineering and Construction. “Together, we will empower our engineering workforce and strengthen our commitment to excellence.”
CEC and PIANC Sign MOU Agreement
