ASCE’s Strategic Partnerships offer a broad range of networking and relationship building opportunities.

• 50K Coalition

  The 50K is a coalition of preeminent engineering organizations that is led by the American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The bold national goal of the coalition is to produce 50,000 diverse engineering graduates annually by 2025.

  Originally founded in 1932 as the Engineers’ Council for Professional Development, ABET has maintained a joint commitment to advancing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion through global leadership in STEM education and to incorporating the highest standards of professional integrity, dignity, fairness, justice, and respect for everyone.

  Founded in 1977, the AISES sustains 197 chartered college and university chapters, 3 tribal chapters, 18 professional chapters and 220 affiliated pre-college schools supporting American Indian students in the critically needed disciplines of STEM.

  Founded initially as the Society for the Promotion of Engineering Education in 1893, ASEE has evolved as an association that recognizes that engineering education encompasses the full academic spectrum of instruction, research, scholarship, practice, and service with an enduring commitment to continuous improvement.

  DiscoverE is the backbone organization behind Engineers Week (established 1951), Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (2001), World Engineering Day (2016, formerly known as Global Day of the Engineer), the Global Marathon (2005), and the Future City Competition (1993). Their programs and resources have been adopted and adapted by individuals and organizations around the globe.

• National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering

  Dedicated to creating an engineering workforce that looks like America, NACME's aim is to increase the proportion of African American, American Indian, and Latino graduates in STEM education and careers, leveraging parity in the workforce as their primary metric and the methodology of connecting their network of like-minded individuals and organizations who share a commitment to these aims.

  NAMEPA is the premiere network connecting corporate America to technical colleges and universities, and the leading source of professional development for directors of college engineering diversity programs.

• National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science (GEM)

  A unique and powerful national network of universities and employers dedicated to promoting the participation of underrepresented groups in post-graduate science and engineering education and the technical workforce by identifying and selecting highly qualified students to complete a program of STEM graduate study and industry internships and partnering with university, employer and other strategic partners to mentor and financially support their attainment of graduate degrees.

• National Society of Black Engineers

  Founded in 1975 with the mission of "increasing the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community", NSBE has more than 20,000 members and is one of the largest student-governed organizations in the country. NSBE now includes more than 394 College, Pre-College, and Technical Professional/Alumni chapters in the United States and abroad.

  Founded in 1990 to be a catalyst for change to enhance the success of women in the engineering professions, WEPAN is the nation's leading organization and catalyst for transforming culture in engineering education to promote the success of all women. WEPAN has more than 700 members from engineering schools, small businesses, Fortune 500 corporations, and non-profit organizations.

• Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

  Founded in 1974 with the original mission of forming a national organization of professional engineers to serve as role models within the Hispanic community. SHPE's mission is to "change lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize their fullest potential and impacts the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development." SHPE has over 13,000 members, 286 Student and Professional Chapters.

  Founded in 1950 with the mission of stimulating "women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity." SWE has more than 42,000 members worldwide.
