is a senior bridge evaluation engineer and technical principal at WSP USA. Since joining WSP in 2017, Amir has been involved in a wide range of projects mainly focused on bridge design, load rating, evaluation, and rehabilitation. He has a solid background in applied computational mechanics which he leverages to tackle variety of bridge engineering problems including load rating analysis of complex bridges, structural evaluation of in-service bridges, and designing retrofit for deteriorated bridge components. Amir received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Virginia, after receiving his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic, Iran. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of California and Virginia.
