is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering (CECE) at University of Central Florida (UCF). Over the years, he has conducted research in the areas of karst geohazards, geomaterials and infrastructure materials (e.g., cement/concrete, recycling materials). His research has been published in more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and presented as many invited talks across the world (U.S.A., Germany, China, Japan, Korea, Egypt, etc.). Dr. Nam currently serves multiple technical committees of ASCE G-I and Transportation Research Board (TRB) and the organization committee of The Sinkhole Conference and AEG Karst Hazards Forum Conference. Also, he has been serving on multiple journal editorial boards, including Frontiers in Built Environment, KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering, and Materials (guest editor). Dr. Nam is the current faculty advisor of the ASCE-UCF Student Chapter (recipient of the Faculty Advisor of the Year in 2016 – ASCE FL section).
