Dr. Borja Gonzalez Reguero is an Associate Research Professor at the University of California Santa Cruz and the Coastal Science and Policy Program. His research and teaching interests spans the areas of coastal climate change, coastal resilience, adaptation and natural infrastructure and nature-based engineering. He develops this work in close partnership with the public and private sector. His work has informed new policy proposals to protect coastlines and coastal infrastructure in the USA and internationally. Dr. Reguero holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Environmental Hydraulics, a M.S. in Coastal and Port Engineering and a M.S. in Applied Economics. He also led the University of California Multicampus Coastal Resilience and Climate Adaptation Initiative and serves in the University Board of the UC Disaster Resilience Network.
