Fengxiang Qiao is the Professor of Transportation Studies and co-director of Innovative Transportation Research Institute at Texas Southern University. His research interests include traffic operations, simulation, vehicle emission testing and modeling, air quality analysis, in-vehicle noise measurement, transportation health impact, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) data processing. He is the recipient of the Best Technical Paper Award of the 2013 ITS World Congress. He has published 5 books, 40 journal papers, 27 government reports, and 124 conference papers. He is an editorial board member of the Open Transportation Journal, the first vice president of Intelligent Chinese Transportation Professional Association (ICTPA), and the co-chair of the 2016 International Conference on Modern Economic Development and Environment Protection. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Southeast University, and B.S. in Automatic Control Engineering from Nanjing Institute of Technology.
