Joseph Wartman is Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Washington. His research focuses on extreme event reconnaissance with an emphasis on embankments, dams, and slopes. The author of over 60 professional articles, Wartman edits the Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering and is a member of the Geo-Institute (GI).
